Ernest Beaux was the creator of Chanel N°5. There were two series of perfume samples created. Ernest Beaux numbered them 1 to 5 and 20 to 24. Coco Chanel chose sample number 5 and this is the history of its name.
The creator used a synthetic component called aldehydes. In the formula, this synthetic component has a mixture of fragrances of rose, ylang- ylang and jasmine. The aldehydes have a fragrance of pure and fresh and smells like clean linen. Ernest Beaux was inspired by the smell of water in midnight in Arctic Circle. The frozen lakes and rivers have a unique smell that made him fascinated and replicated through Channel N°5.
Chanel N°5 is one of the best selling perfumes in the world. The making of this perfume is complex. The fragrant is not an isolation smell of one of any fragrant compositions. They are evenly mixed. There is no jasmine smell or rose or lily but in just one Chanel composition. The base note is composed of vetiver, vanilla, sandalwood, amber and patchouli. The heart is with jasmine, iris, rose and lily of the valley while the top notes are made of aldehydes, lemon, bergamot, ylang-ylang and neroli.
Chanel N°5 became famous because it is being worn by many celebrities. Way back from the time of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie and many more. Currently, Nicole Kidman is the face of Channel N°5. The very first bottle of Channel N°5 was designed by Chanel herself and with a classical principle of less is more. Black and white are the key colors of Chanel. Until now, it still has the modernity style and opulence.
Channel N°5 is truly the scent of quintessential femininity. It is long-lived, soapy and sophisticated aldehydes. Many still believe that Channel N°5 is still the ultimate statement in class, elegance and femininity.
